French GP hero's and 0's

Hero's
Max Drove like a WC. Took advantage of Le Clerc's mistake
Lewis His best finish all year
Sainz Best drive of the year. Should have been a podium
Russel Snuck one on Sergio
Zero's
LeClerc Keep this up and he'll be #2
Russel whining about Sergio after he ran him off the track
The brain's at Ferrari Why pit Carlos after he made the pass
on Sergio. What did they gain?
lkjohnson1950:
Ferrari said they didn't think Sainz' tires would make it to the end. They chose to pit to avoid a failure, thinking 5th was about what they would finish after the penalty.

I agree but what about Sergio whining and whining about George’s track limits while he was violating track limits himself 🙄.
Sainz gets a :good: for diplomacy at the end of the race and Ferrari get a :nono: for just appearing to be unprofessional.
I hoped McLaren had made real progress but it seems not!
Dare:
Looked like Sergio made it a habit of breaking 'the track
limits. I was waiting for the stewards to do something.

Heroes
Mercedes. They may have gotten the 2022 car 'wrong', but they have been crazy reliable, and continuing to try and improve the car. Russell hit the ground running in 2022,certainly proved he belongs at a top team. Hamilton seemed a little 'broken', either from a tough 2021, or a lacklustre 2022 car, but he's regained form, pushing his car, and his team.
Aston Martin has been a mess under Stroll's leadership, I've heard that Laurence is micromanaging and driving people away. Or maybe he's just trying to change the culture from a midfield team punching above its weight to a big budget team. Double points finish from a team that often doesn't make it past Q1 is worth nothing.
Zeroes
Ferrari seems like they have all the pieces, but no idea how to put them together. LeClerc can take the blame for his accidents all season long, but what is Ferrari doing to help him? Sainz can cut through the field, but there seems to be no trust between driver and pit wall over tire strategy
Haas. Just when we think they're ascendant, they lay an egg. I know it's a race, so there are winners and losers, but when teams are up and down it feels more like luck than solid teamwork.
