Alguersuari working with Toro Rosso
« on: May 13, 2009, 07:56:24 PM »

Good to see Red Bull/STR is still nurturing talent for F1.

New F1 reserve driver Brendon Hartley was not the only Red Bull-backed youngster becoming integrated with Formula One last weekend at Barcelona.

Also trackside at the Circuit de Catalunya was the 19-year-old Spaniard Jamie Alguersuari, who has moved from British F3 to the Renault World Series for 2009.

But at the Spanish Grand Prix, he was wearing Toro Rosso team gear, where according to the Diario Sport newspaper he was tasked with learning as much as he can about the operation of the team.

"It was a good experience to work with Franz Tost's team and to become integrated with a team at a Grand Prix," Alguersuari commented.

It is reported that he will be back in the Toro Rosso garage next weekend, where the World Series by Renault is a support race for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Alguersuari beat Carlin team-mates Oliver Turvey and Hartley to the British F3 championship last year.
