Is anyone going to the Spanish race? If so and if you are staying north of Montmelo (Pineda Llorett etc) would you be interested in car share? I've been to three races and although the transport infrastructure is good it takes hours to get just 40 miles. Last year I was back in my resort within 1 hour.

Hi Mick, myself and Scott are going to the Spanish GP, but we're staying in central Barcelona. Last year I took the subway then train to Montmelo and it did take longer than an hour, but didn't find it a problem. Maybe this time I will!

If you'd like to come into town and collect us, by all means  ;)

So you've been three times - what sort of ticket do you have, any advice on the best place to watch with general admission tickets? Last year we had a good view from the slope between turns 8 and 9.

In Monza, we had to buy a train ticket, and then (obviously written only in Italian) have it stamped at the station where you embark.  Needless to say, I thought, like most places, you just buy the ticket and jump on the train, that that was it.  As soon as the train left, the police came through and charged everyone who hadn't stamped their ticket a tidy 50 Euros...cash, and gave us a little scrawled receipt.  Seemed just about every second or third person hadn't realized the ticket also needed to be stamped.  I bet those guys collected 10-15k Euros that day for their summer holidays.  What a scam.

Hope it isn't like that in Barca  >:D >:D

Apparently Ian could read Italian...

Nota ona your life Scott, the girl in the shop at Linate airport said don't forget to validate it on your 1st journey. Obviously you weren't paying attention when you bought yours.  :tease:
