The FIA fitted a new piece of hardware to Ferrari’s ERS system ahead of FP1 in Monaco to ensure there were no loopholes being exploited in the car’s energy deployment after concerns were raised by Mercedes non-executive director Niki Lauda.

Yet again, BIG BROTHER is watching!!! ... must be a conflict of loyalty for Niki, but of course, we would fully expect him to play the Mercedes game ... for now.

It appears this extra monitoring is latest FIA move to either clear or catch Ferrari.
The other teams have been on the case since before Baku and are not backing off so Todt & Charlie have to take the extra measures.

I did like the little chat with Niki Lauda on Sky Sports before the Monaco Race (or was it qualy?) ... where the Ferrari topic came up. Niki seemed satisfied with whatever had gone before and the outcome/clarification with Ferarri's position going forward. Surely, if Ferrari were leading the championship, Merc's position would have been a little more intense/heated? ;)
