I've tested pos for Covid. I know several people
that have caught this and made a speedy recovery
-
Shall we send for Hulkenberg to fill in for you for a couple weeks?
Speedy recovery my friend!
-
My niece got it, spent 2 really miserable weeks dragging around then recovered. She did say it took much longer to get back to anything remotely like normal. Her experience seems to be par for the course. I'm sure you got this covered. Get well soon!!
-
Hey Dare It's time to see the Stewards as that's unfair!
Take your medication and get well soon. :good:
-
Get well soon, dare, and hope you're back on track, all cylinders running, very soon!
-
Hang in there, my friend. Get well soon! :good:
-
Get well soon my friend and please try to keep us updated, we're all rooting for you.
A good pal of mine, our age, in UK had this a few weeks back, he was really hit for 6 in first few days and then was constantly tired, feverish and washed out for another week, final throw was a persistent cough for 10 days that he now sees reducing.
Lets hope your journey through will be less bumpy than his, All the best Dare.
-
Get well soon Dare. As John says please keep us updated. Wishing you the speediest of recoveries.
Take care my friend.

So far the worst is loss of taste of food which is
slowly returning and a fever I can't get down. Hopefully
with no set backs I hope I'm in top form for the GG 2021
And feeling worn out
-
Hang in there Dare in few days the worst should be over, we all need you to make the GG work. :good:
-
My niece said the worn out part sticks around longest.
-
Hello Dare, It's been a few days since you posted, we've all got our fingers crossed for good news.
Here's hoping it's just the extreme fatigue that covid can cause preventing you from talking to us. Get well soon, we miss you.
-
We do indeed.
-
Health Dept called me yesterday and said
I'll be released today. I feel a lot of better
and consider myself very fortunate.
-
Great news, Dare! :yahoo:
So glad to hear that you've gotten through it. :good:
-
Boy am I relieved you've come through it Dare, bet you are too. :good:
I was starting to think I may have to catalogue all your misdeeds in past years GG scores so they could to be read to you to encourage you out of a comatose state. :tease:
Nothing like a bit of anger to get the old adrenaline pumping. :D

If you posted all my mistakes and errors I'm
afraid it might put me in a coma. Thanks for
the well wishes. This virus is scary when you
first test pos you worry if you may be one of the
unlucky ones to pay the extreme price.

Watch yourself, my niece had a small relapse of the fatigue part.
-
Good news Dare well done.

Keep looking after yourself. :good:

What were you doing in the woods? You are supposed to be looking after yourself! :DD

Wow, sorry to hear that Dare. Glad you appear to be on the mend. A co-worker of mine has lost most of the feeling in his feet, and that is after almost a year (he was one of the first in our region). Since then I've known dozens of people who have had it and mostly recovered. One passed away sadly.
I hope you completely recover and go back to feeling like your old grumpy self ;)
I had my vaccine booked for the end of this month, though with all the news of supply problems, I think that might be optimistic. I know of 3 people who have been vaccinated, including my mother-in-law, but they are all at least a decade older than me, so I don't qualify quite yet. No side effects in anyone I've heard of.
-
Thanks Scott, who knows this might mellow me
out....... nah
-
Hey Dare how's it going? Hope you're progressing ok.
Have you got rid of the cough yet? Lot of patients say they have a very persistent cough for a week or two after the main event.

Seem to be back to almost normal. The cough
is almost gone. Still a little tired at times.
-
Did you get your vaccination? Still waiting for mine.
-
I have received both of mine as of 3 weeks ago.
Got the Pfizer and maybe because I had Covid I
had a few side effects. The vaccinations are being
given pretty fast here which is surprising. I would
have thought Switzerland would have been ahead
of giving the shots
-
Switzerland's not getting enough supply for that - the USA, UK and Israel got nearly all the priority doses due to paying premiums.

Whereas Canada went all in on a Chinese vaccine, then told China we weren't happy with their human rights record. To show how much they value human rights, they blocked all vaccines to Canada.

Australia have been criticised this week for the slow role out of the vaccine but if they think that is slow they should take a look at NZ as we are miles behind them and we have just opened up free travel to and from Aussie.
I expected the government to be well into the vaccines before they did that but no we've gone from little risk to a big risk.
I have just had my flu jab so cannot have my Covid jab for two weeks but as there is no sign of that happening its not an issue.
Oh well! I suppose it could be worse.
A Kiwi man died and went to heaven; as he stood in front of St Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, “What are all those clocks? ”St Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.” “Oh,” said the man, “whose clock is that?” “That’s Mother Teresa’s. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.” “Incredible,” said the man. St Peter then said “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life.”
The man then asked “Where’s Jacinda Ardern’s clock?” “Her clock is in Jesus’ office. He’s using it as a ceiling fan.”

Hey Andy loving a bit of regional humour. Could apply almost anywhere I suspect.

John does anyone nowadays believe politicians?
