Title: Brawn Mercedes engine

Has anyone got info about the engine their going to use???.  The only info i've got is its a2.4 V8, but how much power are they losing out to others

I think they'll be getting the same engines as Force India. I'm not sure how those customer units will compare to the units that McLaren will be using. I'd imagine that, being "the home team," that McLaren will get a little something extra.

I thought the customer engines now have to be exactly the same spec as the supplier's.

its the fact that their saying its a 2.4.  400cc less than the other teams.  Either that it was a mistake on the website that i was looking at

All F1 engine are currently 2.4 liters. That number was arrived at when F1 ordered a reduction from 10 cylinders to 8. Since the number of cylinders was reduced by 20%, the 3 liter displacement was, too.

I know that all the engines from any given supplier are supposed to be the same, but I still think that McLaren, Renault, Ferrari and Toyota get engines that are a little more equal than their customer engines.

I have read that the Mercedes engines at Brawn GP are putting out about 60 more horses than last year's Honda power plant.
