Does this just apply to normal racing? If they count times when they are flying through the air upside down & backwards, the percentage of drivers who have done it would probably go way up. ;)

That would be rather gross for the mechanics to have to clean up after a race. Unless they build in some sort of drainage holes just for getting liquid out of the cockpit. I imagine rainwater might also be an issue so there must be drainage.

I realise fire retardant is not the same thing as waterproof, but am wondering if it would all not just get absorbed by their racing suits?
