I'm sure the inflation on this is about 15% a year...

The Gov't here says inflation is 8.5%. I'm trying to figure out if
they mean a year or month.

The Gov't here says inflation is 8.5%. I'm trying to figure out if

Part of the problem is that it depends on your income bracket. In the UK it's been clocked at:

- 4.3% for wealthy people
- 9% for someone on average wages
- about 40% for people on minimum wage/fixed basic incomes...
- ...unless they're small business owners in gas-powered premises, then it's about 50% because business gas has nearly doubled in price over the last 12 months.

The UK government has also said to expect average inflation to hit 10% by autumn.
