Silverstone Grand Prix 1983
Me on the left wearing the "Lotus" cap, and brother Norman who at that time was a "Renault" fan......What a memorable week end that was!!!!!
-
This Mini was hand built Locally and belongs to a very good friend of mine.
It has a bike engine and is incredibly fast. David does Hill climbs locally as
well as nearby Sicily.

Hi dare and thank you. Problem is that I am a bit too slow with the P.C.

Take your time Chris,we have a long season
ahead of us.Is that a Mclaren at the top of your
Silverstone pictures?

Hi dare, Yes It is,and if my memory serves me right I would stick my neck out and I reckon it might be John Watson, however it`s been a very long time. ::)

I reckon your memory is spot on Chris. Lauda and Watson drove for Mclaren that year both had red and white helmets but Watson's was predominanly white and vice versa for Niki.

Great Pics Chris and it looks like you got the hang of posting them too - any probs you know where I am.

This is at Brands Hatch. These pics are ancient as you can tell by the quality.
Top pics, " Alfa Romeo", could have been Andrea De Cesaris.
BottomPic, "Renault Elf, not too sure who the driver might be, at a guess maybe Rene Arnoux.

Here it goes. Hope it works this time?

Karting Pics of my son Jacob.
-
Great shots. Where does he race? What class?
-
Hi Scott and thank you. Jacob has raced in the U.K. at Whilton Mill, Shenninghton, P.F International, Rye House and also did the Kimbolton festival taking part in the TKM Junior 100cc and in his first ever race achieved "Best Novice" of the day at his first attempt.
I the U.K. Jacob was racing with the S.R.S racing under the guidance of "Stuart Zemilis".
He was the youngest Champion locally in the 100cc. He then took to 125cc KF1`s, but we had to pack it in as things got out out of hand. They did their best to bend the rules as he was beating them with inferior machinery, and they could never accept that. It is a great shame really as he had Excellent potential.
We are now looking into a single seater, and maybe Jacob do some Hill climbing, but we are on a very limited budget. We are in no hurry as Jacob is in his last year at University doing "European Studies".
Jacob is Kart number 72.

This was in 2002 when we were invited to a day`s Testing at Silverstone. This was the closest I could get to "Alonso". I even managed to get a signed Autograph to my son Jacob, which I will post at a later date. :yahoo:

Jag,Ever

I got to take a spin in a red convertible V12 once (25yrs ago) all by myself. I'll never forget the sound.
I ditched my valet parking hat and bow-tie and drove around town for half an hour. I almost got fired (at the time I thought it was worth it, but didn't realize I could have been charged with auto theft until my boss told me). 8) 8)
