Disney Studios has decided to shut down production of their film, The Lone Ranger this week.
Budget issues seem to be the main cause currently for the film, which was set to star Johnny Depp. Disney wanted a $200 million film and the filmmakers failed to reduce it's $250 million budget.
Disney hasn’t thrown away the western film entirely however. An exec said the studio isn’t giving up on the film, and that the film still remains a priority within the company.
The cancellation came weeks after Cowboys and Aliens failed to show big profit in theaters.
