That distant rumbling is the sound of a web stampede racing over to Sky’s HD website – it’s just announced pricing for the service and is taking pre-orders for installations in May.
The HD Box costs £300, with the subscription adding an extra £10 a month to your existing Sky digital subs.
Your existing channels package will then determine which high-def channels you get – the HD versions of Sky One, Artsworld, National Geographic, Discovery and Sky Box Office will be available for everyone, but to get Sky Sports and Movies you’ll need to be subscribing to their equivalents in your digital package.
This means that if you’re an existing subscriber and want to get all the HD channels you’ll be paying a hefty £52.50 a month. New customers can get a slightly cheaper deal for the first three months thanks to Sky’s introductory offer.
To pre-order you need to pay a £30 deposit by midnight on 5th April – Sky will then call you back to get it installed in May.

Wizard,
I think 99% of Skys programs are sub-standard anyway. They will never get a single penny out of me! :D
What say you?
Neil.P
-
Totally agree Neil,
I used to pay for Sky a long time ago. I cancelled and have never looked back. If you want more channels that you'll never watch - get a freeview box.
I can think of better ways to waste my money. ::)
-
£52.50???? :o
There must be better ways to spend 50 quid a month to watch mostly crap.
I know, 50 quid to use a public lav hows that? Sound like a money making scheme to me :yahoo:
-
Blimey Sluggs, that'd have to be one plush khazi :D
Neil.P

Neil.P

Just rotate the old ones Neil. Or have you already done that?
-
Ah, now we're getting into my cousin PILK's territory, he's the best 'rotator' in the business. I have actually seen him perform this stunt when we had our day trip to Canada!
My goodness, what a siily thread. lol
Neil.P
-
If you had pants with 3 leg holes you could rotate them 3 times, then turn them inside out and do the same!
6 days from one pair! :swoon:

Neil.P
-

-
Your jokes are improving Wizard...maybe :P
-
Tri-Pants are the future!!! its just the thought of Wizard wearing 'em
-
Wearing them?......you mean modelling them!
Advance orders for the 2008 calendar are already being taken.
I particularly like August. I’m leaning on a fence watching some grazing sheep on a hot, sweaty, sunny day in the English countryside. I’m modelling nothing but Tri-Pants, and the picture has been taken from behind at ground level……Classy ;)
-
Wizard,
You sure you still want the sheep in the photo when the calender goes to print. You might be giving out the wrong impression. You know what people are like, jumping to conclusion when all your doing is innocently trying to endorse a product!
Apart from that it sounds fine!
Neil.P :D
-
and that could be offensive to certain welsh people! oh who cares lol they probably havent got the internet out there yet :P of course i'm only joking and ''f1 wizard'' is completely impartial :fool:
-
I am saying nothing. I let my art speak for itself ;)
-
who's doing the december photo cos it'll be mighty cold just wearing your tri pants!!!
-
A BIG round of applause - mussonhead has volunteered to pose for December. :yahoo:
-
ill only pose with the pit babes!!! i not do sheep like you wizard :P
-
Hmmm, Can we compromise? How about a sheep in a bikini? :DntKnw:
-
i dont do hairy women!!! kill to birds with one stone shave the sheep foe the photo then use the wool to make more tri-pants!!! lol
-
Sheep Shaving! That’s going too far, you disgust me!
