I can't speak for other parts of Canada or the US, but there has definitely been a significant shift from the typical North American looking vehicles to British/Europe style "vans" in the trades.  Of course, there are still a lot of F150's, Rams, Tacoma's, GMC's, Titans etc out there, but it's clear to see that "van like" vehicles are becoming more popular in our area.  Anything from a Berlingo to typical Transit Van, they are out there!!

This is the van I drove around Scotland and Northern England back in 2015 - the new model looks more of a "Bruiser" ... but I liked this van. Great comfortable ride, lots of storage (especially above cab up front) and fairly nippy on motorways - only thing I didn't like was the fall-away bonnet, second guessed myself a couple of times when parking in tight car parks.

Best Regards,
Cal :)

This thread is the essence of why I love this community....a thread which starts around Lewis Hamilton ends up discussing the merits of vans.

Well, being that the van I hired was mainly for Camping purposes, we could easily change the theme of the topic into Camping, where with a bit of luck, we could come full circle and discuss Camping at race venues?  :DD :DD :DD :DD |-( |-( |-( |-(

It has to be better than discussing Sewing, Opera or Rare Horse Brasses???

Cal :)

Now that you brought it up Cal

Not a true Opera singer but I'll take

Aargh!!! C'mon Dare that's like trying to compare F1 champions from different eras.  :fool:

But if I have to I'll plump for what I think would be 'white van man's' choice, it would be :-
Pavarotti followed by the 3 tenners (that's the only way to spell it in Essex). ;)
Then the bird from "I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper" song - Sara Brightman.  :D

They're the only ones 'van man' will have heard of.  :DD :DD :DD

P.S. Pavarotti for me,  :good: I'm half 'van man' too.  ;)

I like it John and I agree with Pavarotti. Lanzo was under rated
I think because of the movies he made

Can you imagine if this topic was shared in social media circles and Lewis H had access to it via his timeline feed etc? ... he wouldn't have a clue what is going on!!!  :DD :DD :DD :DD :DD

Speaking of Sarah Brightman, she still looks good at 57y/o !!  (she could sing me to sleep any day - that came out wrong!  :stop:)

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Let's get serious here and back on topic I heard Lewis was spotted at the campsite
spotted at campsite driving a white van listening to a Maria Callas cd. Who'd have thought that
