Alonso - What's in your wallet?
« on: January 04, 2007, 12:24:51 PM »

Fernando Alonso is reportedly the highest paid formula one driver on the grid in 2007.

While it has been suggested that Kimi Raikkonen inherited Michael Schumacher's legendary pay-packet for being 'number one' at Ferrari, a Spanish newspaper claims that the Kimi's new salary is actually less than Alonso's.

McLaren will supposedly pay Alonso nearly (US) $40m this year, compared to Raikkonen's $24m. Schumacher's last Ferrari pay packet tipped the scales at $46m.

Looks like Kimi will have to live on bread and water.  ::)

I thought I read where Kime was making
  51 million a year,making him higher paid
  than 2 time champion Alonso
