Seems Brembo jumped the gun in heaping all responsibility onto Red Bull (Max's brake issue Melbourne) and Ferrari (Charles brake issue Bahrain), see link to GPBlog.com below.

Whilst not really accepting any responsibility Brembo have moved  from certainty to - "'probably' that the problem arose from an incorrect adjustment or choice by the team"

Well Brembo which is it - and how soon will it be fixed?

I'm definitely going to try and make time to see it!

Ends the week before the Toronto Indy, might see a lot of motorsport in July!

General F1 Discussion / Formula 1 Exhibition comes to Toronto
« Last post by cosworth151 on March 26, 2024, 04:41:38 PM »
The Formula 1 Exhibition is going to make its first North American stop in Toronto. Looks like it runs from May 3rd through July 14th. Tickets look fairly decently priced for what it is.

Looks like you might be in for a treat, Jeri!  :good:

General F1 Discussion / Re: Is a change of driver coming?

Yeah your right Jeri, there's 22 F2 champ Felipe Drugovich on Aston's books and Theo Pouchaire 23 F2 Champ waiting in the wings at Sauber/Audi.

The rollover of all drivers from last year into this season is not very helpful for the supposed ladder system of F3 to F2 to F1.

Last F2 champ to graduate to F1 was Oscar Piastri, he won 21 F2 season by a country mile and still had to sit on side lines for year.

With new F2 champ being forced out of series each year shows how much they need 11, or even 12 teams on the grid with all this talent going nowhere.

They need to create an 'F2 Champions' series as a holding series for everyone too good for F2, but without a seat in F1.

But the system is broken, what other sport forces athletes out because they're too good?

Sure, American College sports are really big, and you're limited to 4 years because you're technically in school, not a ladder system.  Junior hockey in Canada has the same issue, you can only play until you're 19.  In both cases there are still minor leagues  a player can join and dominate against equal level competition.

International open wheel racing really is missing that 'not quite ready for prime time' series.

Personal High Point - Haas double points finish.  :yahoo:
Personal Low Point - Haas dropping 1 place in the Constructor's standings in spite of the above.  :'(

It was nice to see a car drop out with a mechanical problem. It's hard to believe the cars can actually running at ten tenths and still be so bullet proof.

Heroes:-

Carlos for all the obvious reasons, and Ferrari to for giving him the car to do it in.

McLaren for being the No 2 team on the day, both drivers fulfilled the tasks they were set.

Tsunoda, the lad has certainly got the bit between his teeth and galloping on.

Perez for doing the best he could from his starting slot, I'm sure if Max hadn't DNF'd he would still have found it tough going to stop at least one Ferrari, or maybe both from beating him. See RBR in zeros.

Zeros:-

Kick/Stake/Sauber-or whatever, they are becoming the laughing stock of the paddock. Bet Audi bosses who have now handed over all the cash to control the team are looking on dumbfounded.

Danny Ric - Oh Danny boy the pipes maybe calling for you by mid season if this continues.

Red Bull - for having a rocket ship that eats tyres round Albert Park. Nuff said - normal service will probably be resumed at next race.

Fernando - sure you may have been planning a defence to a George overspeed lunge at that corner (turn 6), but for such an experienced hand like you to get it so wrong is perhaps more than just embarrassing.  ::)

Between Lawson and Bearman, anyone struggling in F1 should feel the pressure.

I'm sure there are other drivers of their calibre waiting for an opportunity to shine like those two took advantage of.

Has DR just two GP's to run as he's not performing and was trounced in Melbourne by YT so LL will be upping his training?
