On the face Mercedes statement works team staying in F1 is straightforward - but is it?
Suppose a Canadian billionaire was to swap his holding in Aston Martin road car for a large stake in Merc F1 team, and his and Toto's stakes made them Majority shareholders. Would that really still be a Mercedes works team? - I guess it depends on your viewpoint. Merc team however would stay in F1. :good:
Ralf Bach in his intriguing article on F1-insider.com (below) suggests this is how it will play out.
Might be a load of old polony, but it makes for interesting reading in this dull time in F1.
