9. is deffinately a Hoax.... it comes from a website called Bert is Evil.... they have tons of pictures with Bert inserted into them as evidence that Bert from Seaseme Street is in fact evil... it's been around for over 10 years now... pretty funny really

OK here are the answers and one or two of them may surprise you - add up your scores to see how many you got right. :D
1. A double decker bus that fell into a hole in the road = REAL
This photo was taken on the Earlham Road in Norwich. Underground chalk mines caused a massive sink-hole to appear in the road. The bus fell into the hole.
2. Home security by polar bear = HOAX
It would be quite a shock to look out your window and see a party of polar bears on your front lawn, but it never happened.
3. A very, very tall woman walks down the street with a friend = HOAX
The tall woman on the left in this picture is a real woman. Her name is Heather Haven, and she has her own website that includes many photos showing off her above average.. er.. height. But this picture in particular shows evidence of having been digitally altered.

A plane crash captured by a National Geographic photographer in Guatemala in 1976.
5. Natural enemies mend their differences. A cat befriends a mouse = REAL
A cat named Auan, living on a farm near Bangkok, befriended a mouse, named Jeena. This photo was taken by Reuters photographer Sukree Sukplang in August, 2002.
6. A mix-up at the grooming salon results in a cat with a 'lion cut' = REAL
Sometimes cats get groomed like this if their fur has become too matted.

8. A truck, heavily loaded down with corn, makes its way to market. = REAL
It's hard to see how all the corn manages to stay in the truck, but nevertheless this scene is real. It was captured by Reuters photographer Antony Njuguna in Somalia in September, 2003.
9. Supporters of Osama bin Laden hold a poster showing their hero sitting beside Bert from Sesame Street (see bottom right corner) = REAL!!!
The strange poster held by this protester was created, unintentionally, by a poster maker in Bangladesh. He downloaded a picture of Osama bin Laden from the web that showed Bin Laden sitting next to 'evil Bert' from the website Rom mentioned. He didn't realise the satirical intent of the picture, and so included it in the poster. :DD
10. Photograph of an iceberg taken by a diver off the coast of Newfoundland = HOAX
An image created by nature photographer Ralph Clevenger. It's actually a composite of four different photographs taken in Alaska, Antarctica, and California. The image is available for purchase if anyone is interested.
