We just couldn't reel Greener in so he
deserves our kudos for his win.
Also to Vintly for 2nd and David and Wizzo for finishing 3rd
Thanks to everyone who played and we'll see you all next March.

Congrats greener, you won by a fair margin in the end, a worthy winner. I thought I might have a chance after nicking one back in quali, but you pulled away, good show. Unlike Alonso I'm well chuffed with second.

I have to admit Vintly you had me worried there.At one point during the race you had a few people in the right place and i thought it was all over for me.I never thought Hamilton being taken out would ever be a good thing but it worked out pretty good for my picks.Well done yourself mate on 2nd place its not going to be easy defending my title next year.

I would like to thank all the GPW members who played for being such fair and consistent sports men and women. Without you the GG would not exist. My wholehearted thanks goes to Dare for running the whole game in his spare time and being such a great moderator. Thanks also to Rom for supplying the GG calculation spreadsheet that provides Dare with at least a little sleep.
I will contact the top three players shortly shortly via PM.
Well done and thank you to everyone for contributing/playing the Grid Game and making it such a fun addition to the F1 season.

I was pleased to achieve 14th, joint, and am already designing my 2013 team.
Playing the Grid Game makes the F1 season so much more interesting so full credit to you guys for running it. I'm looking forward to the new season not only to play the Grid Game again but I shall be at the race in Melbourne. I promise to mention this often! :good:

It's great fun playing this game, and I look forward to more fun next season. Could I ask whether it's worth revising the game to include 9th and 10th positions? Since they are now points scoring positions, which was probably not the case when the game was originally designed, it would seem to make sense.

That has already been suggested Irisado but it was generally agreed to keep it as it is. It is a great game and you'll be in a better position next year with a whole season to play. You wait until you play Wiz's Christmas Advent Comp, that one is a real headbanger.

Getting a point for having the right driver in the top 8 is just that much more difficult than getting a point for having a driver in the top 10.
You're right, the top 10 positions would reflect the FIA's system more, but we think ours is better anyhow. ;) :D :D

First of all Congrats to Greener for winning a cliffhanger, because after 20 rounds, beating Vintly by 4 points shows how close the game was. Congrats to everyone who played the game.
Special thanks to Dare, Rom and all the others who have contributed to keeping this game alive and more interesting.
Having started a bit late and missing out the last two races of the season, achieving 111 point was purely fun and well worth of trying. I must thank dare specially for convincing me to play the game, because I am not good with prediction and afraid of doing it.
Also congrats to Irisado as well for racking up quite number of points after starting the season so late. Hope we two will give all the other regulars a good run for their money.
GPW has become my home, season or off season, I have no intention of not being around..

I'm looking forward to next season's game :).
I'll be around as much as I can over the winter, but moderation duties elsewhere, PhD work, and ongoing disenchantment with some of decisions in Formula 1, means that I'm not as dedicated to the sport as I used to be.
