Views: 449 | Comments: 12 Yeah a 2 stop minimum may jazz up things, may also mess up royally! Part of the fun in races at the moment when field is set with hardly any chance of overtakes is we have to guess the unfolding strategies. Remove much of the uncertainty with all 3 tyre sets (soft/medium/hard) to be used, and limit each tyre to 45% max, then races may assuredly become duller than ever as choices are limited and transparent. ![]() Just who thinks this stuff up? ![]() https://racingnews365.com/f1-giving-consideration-to-major-change-to-grands-prix-report October 28, 2025, 02:18:23 PM by John S
Views: 426 | Comments: 1 Seems I jumped the gun with old speculation on this one. ![]() I've disabled this link www.grandprix.com/news/mercedes-and-mclaren-under-budget-cap-investigation FIA has now stated that there are no other problems save for Aston paperwork muddle when they submitted unsigned documents. https://www.pitpass.com/81449/FIA-completes-review-of-2024-cost-cap#google_vignette October 28, 2025, 11:17:38 AM by John S
Views: 261 | Comments: 0 I was suprised that some of the marques shown in this list I've never heard of, but since I don't have the brass to consider one as my next ride perhaps it's not that surprising. ![]() An awful lot of Bugattis & Koenigseggs on the list too, again I'm shocked at how many variants there are from both. Who the hell buys all these top end cars I'd like to know? ![]() https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/best/fastest-road-car?utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=fastcars&utm_content=crashmedia&tblci=GiDBERlFPVCrP8Mcq5WzqVFxZbYEkC6p1UWZ7gMbriq9NiCRuD0okLSZzYqr4qRtMLrHPQ#tblciGiDBERlFPVCrP8Mcq5WzqVFxZbYEkC6p1UWZ7gMbriq9NiCRuD0okLSZzYqr4qRtMLrHPQ October 23, 2025, 03:47:10 PM by John S
Views: 779 | Comments: 6 Me I don't think so, definetly NO! Surely driving on the track, not beyond it, is one of the fundamental skills required from any racer in any series. How far off track does Lando think is acceptable, is it hard standing, grass, or even escape roads. Bet he doesn't think gravel traps should be included in the list. ![]() https://www.racefans.net/2025/10/20/norris-slates-f1s-policing-of-track-limits-as-one-of-the-silliest-rules-we-have/ October 23, 2025, 03:28:39 PM by John S

Views: 613 | Comments: 2 Some claim Audi behind Merc power output and others say Ferrari has special new alloy intake component. Not forgetting all the naysayers when it comes to Red Bull power trains & Ford efforts. Only one left out is Honda, now is that because they run a tight ship, or is it no one wants to look foolish with a guess? ![]() They suggest information gets leaked by engineers swapping teams, surely though such stuff will be out of date due to gardening leave on nearly all team personnel contracts. What is the truth then??? Guess we'll have to wait til testing next year. https://www.planetf1.com/news/audi-f1-2026-engine-details-data-mercedes-comparison October 23, 2025, 01:59:48 PM by John S
Views: 518 | Comments: 1 ![]() Good news is they were friendly hackers and got FIA on case to close backdoor entry PDQ. Just goes to show how easy "mass assignment" can cause holes in system defences. Not sure I quite understand all this, I'm sure cossie or someone else can fill us in with more about vunerabilities from "mass assignment". https://ian.sh/fia
