Title: Fleming leaves Red Bull
Post by: davewilson on July 04, 2006, 11:16:13 PM
Red Bull has now confirmed rumours that America's Colin Fleming has left the Red Bull Young Driver programme after a difficult start to the season in the World Series by Renault. It seems that Fleming asked to be released from his contract. Fleming was one of the original members of the Red Bull Junior Team and was the Formula Renault team mate of Scott Speed. When Speed went up into GP2, Fleming was promoted to the Renault World Series but has not made the breakthrough that he hoped to make and with Red Bull looking at a much more international crowd of drivers at the moment, Fleming seems to have decided that he has more chance of progressing on his own rather than being stuck in a log-jam of other youngsters.
