Aaaaahhhhhhhh!
I'm watching F1 cars live on the BBC.
Aaaaahhhhhhhh! :good:
-
Yay :yahoo: :yahoo:
-
Now that was worth getting up at a rather cold 6 am for!
-
Doh, I flaming overslept and missed it. :fool: :'(
-
Oh no!
You'll be pleased to know that Ferrari were 2nd and 4th and looked respectable throughout the session, then.
-
I caught some of it, it was great to see the new cars on track together racing round. They look much better on track moving than in still photos.
-
At Last!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:
I've got Practice 2 up on two feeds, 2 Live & ViaSat Sport Baltic, with T&S on a third PC.
-
Yehee, it's back! :yahoo: :yahoo:
Watched practice 1 now into 2, I'm not enjoying the huge gap between the haves and have nots. Yup it's speed I'm refering to. :o
-
No kidding - Senna's 13 seconds off the pace. Bring back the 107% rule!
-
Maybe so, but he's got his name in big letters on the sides of his car! :-[
-
Most people try to copy McLaren's care design, HRT copy the way they put their driver's first name on the car to cover the 'West' logos. :D
-
I leave for work at 7.15am every morning, so I get to see nothin'. >:(
Thank goodness for BBC iPlayer!! :yahoo:

Great minds Scotty!!
I have to say I too agree with the 107% rule. It's simply too dangerous to have an overly slow car on track.
-
Ah come on David, too dangerous :o, we're talking about the best drivers in the world in F1 if they can't cope how come they manage at the 24 hours of Le Mans without fuss?
-
I'm not a Ferrari fan Ali.

Fair point John. I suppose I'm basis as I follow Ferrari who are lucky enough to have been a so called top team for many years, and I hate the thought of my teams cars being held up.
One thing I will say is that Le Mans is a multi level race series, F1 is not. It's singular level sport all about racing and not just taking part. In my view if you are not quick enough then you need to work harder to become quick enough.

Without in season testing, how else will they get better if they aren't puttering around the track?
(Which made me wonder last year, why teams with a washed up race didn't just send guys out to collect data.)

Another good point Jeri. However, if it was easy everybody would be doing it. Then we would no longer be able to call it the pinnacle of motorsport.

Ferrari had strong start at qualy because both drivers were at top 3 :yahoo:. I hope that Massa wins tomorrow because he has good chances to do that. Alonso will be strong too. Schumi was not bad, he was 8th and tomorrow he improves any way.

I'm not a Ferrari fan Ali. {Ian - top of page 2}

Nobody is perfect Ian. :tease:
-
Ali, it is no problem, I would forgive you anything. Not so sure about that David though. :P
