Views: 320 | Comments: 4 Heroes Piastri. Fantastic win, drove a strong race in a not the fastest car. McLaren is still learning how to get race strategy right, but definitely had a good one today. LeClerc. Could've been better, but still had a great day. Whatever McLaren did right, Ferrari did wrong. Russell. Surprise podium, but making sure you're there when opportunity strikes is important in F1 Albon, Colapinto and Williams. A great team effort (Albon's qualifying fan notwithstanding) got some very very good results to vault Williams ahead of Alpine! Bearman. First driver to get points with two different teams in his first two races. Norris. Recovered from a poor qualifying to finish ahead of the championship leader. Zeros. Tsunoda. He's been keeping his nose clean, so disappointing for him to lose track of Stroll and cause contact. Sainz and Perez. My first thought was Sainz drifted into Perez, but on second though, Perez was the car behind, should've seen Sainz drifting over. At this stage of the season, the race, and their careers, neither driver should have had that accident. September 13, 2024, 02:01:10 AM by Andy B
Views: 657 | Comments: 5 Hi, I received my Bahrain video, as below, its only 30 seconds and due to be used for the 2025 Bahrain competition, I have loaded it onto You Tube so I can share it with you guys. For me it's a great memory to have. September 12, 2024, 03:34:35 PM by cosworth151
Views: 631 | Comments: 3 Oscar Piastri says he will "help out" McLaren's attempt to win both the WCC and WDC. “The team have asked me to help out and I’ve said for the last few races that if I was asked, then I would,” he commented. “Of course, naturally as a driver it’s never an easy thing, or simple thing, to agree to. There’s a much bigger picture in play than just myself." I'd love to read a transcript of the team meeting that resulted in this. "Team orders? What team orders?" https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/piastri-confirms-he-will-help-out-norris-in-quest-to-overhaul-verstappen.42hv9jbFamzemVbjyGzs1n September 11, 2024, 03:58:30 PM by cosworth151
Views: 709 | Comments: 1 And the other shoe finally drops. Adrian Newey has become the Managing Technical Partner at Aston Martin F1. That should shake things up a bit. https://www.astonmartinf1.com/en-GB/news/announcement/adrian-newey-begins-new-chapter-with-aston-martin-aramco-formula-one-team September 10, 2024, 05:00:42 PM by John S

Views: 1088 | Comments: 2 Thanks to PlanetF1.com you can find out for yourself how Lando, or others, can beat Max to the title this year. Have fun choosing results when you click thru on link below. Nearly as much fun as GG, but without the reckoning when Dare tots up the scores. https://overcutting.com/ September 06, 2024, 05:45:40 PM by Jericoke
Views: 1227 | Comments: 0 https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/bearman-to-replace-banned-magnussen-at-haas-for-azerbaijan-grand.AkCoDVRDHBHPpNdlyqMzv Oliver Bearman, currently 15th place* in the 2024 Driver's Championship, future driver for Haas F1, will sub for Kevin Magnussen for the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. I feel like this is a move that surprises nobody. He's going to race for Haas next year, why not use him this year? Gives Bearman and the team a chance to become better acquainted in a low stakes situation. If Bearman puts up a truly impressive result (say, a podium?) would Haas then have to consider replacing K-Mag for the rest of 2024? (Not that I'm expecting such a result, and I figure from a contracts point of view, K-Mag would be safe for the rest of the year. Wrapping up the Mazepin saga a few weeks ago, I doubt Haas wants to open another mess) *Actually tied with K-Mag on 6 points, but ahead on countback
