Title: Silly Season for Team Principal's as well?
Post by: Scott on May 18, 2016, 04:26:29 PM
Marchionne seems like he is far too impatient to be running a manufacturer and supervising the F1 Ferrari Team.  Why doesn't he just step back and let Arrivabene run the team for an entire season?  Surely with Chrysler now on his plate there is more to do at the FIAT head office than dabble around in a subsidy of the marketing department.  Sure, maybe hand over more day-to-day power to James Allison, but changing the boss every time there is a little problem will just gut the enthusiasm within the team.

Certainly the Ferrari chassis is not a match for the Red Bull, but I have to wonder if they made as big a gain in engine performance as they thought. If you have a 50 BHP advantage and DRS you ought to be able to make a pass on a half mile straight. Granted the R/B was carrying more corner speed out on to the straight, but I suspect the Ferrari is not as good as people anticipated or the Renault is not as lacking as R/B claims.
