Peter Wheeler Dies
« on: June 12, 2009, 06:47:23 PM »
Former TVR chief Peter Wheeler died last night after a short illness. Wheeler ran the car maker between 1980 and 2004. During that time, the Cerbera, Griffith, Chimaera and Tuscan all made their debut.

I've always admired TVR cars. The marched to their own drummer, and did it fairly well. The Wheeler years were truly the marque's golden age.

That is sad to hear. I'm a big fan of TVR's, especially the older cars. The Northern Ireland drivers club meets up for their outtings in a big car park down the road from where I live, some nice exhaust notes there!!
