Title: BAKU
Post by: J.Clark on June 12, 2016, 05:06:30 PM
I am posting this now with the hope that one of you all will take up this race's preview.

I will be doing a lot of traveling in the week leading up to it.  I will not have a lot computer access, nor will I have a lot of free time.

Much of the travel will be extremely pleasant.  The main reason for the trip is to attend the graduation of a former student from Navy Flight School.  That is a blessing.

I will not get home from the trip until late Saturday evening.

I'm sure that's a great honour to be invited the the graduation ceremonies.  Enjoy yourself...we'll take care of the intro.

Thanks.
I am humbled to be considered such an important part of his life.  I have had a few somewhat similar invitations from former students.  Perhaps it is a testimony about my having been a good teacher.  I don't know.  I do feel blessed however.

If you're going to Pensacola, there is an excellent Museum of Naval Aviation there. It's right on the grounds of Naval Air Station Pensacola.

Thanks.
I have been there a few times and have been in the museum - even watched a Blue Angels practice out behind it.
I am not taking golf clubs, but NAS P'cola has an interesting and fun course that uses three separate nine hole courses, combinations of which give one the 18 hole game.
