Title: BMW Told To FIX FLEX
Post by: davewilson on July 07, 2006, 10:54:26 PM
It seems as if the flexi wing controversy is still unresolved with the FIA reportedly requesting that the BMW SauberF1 team make certain alterations to their rear wing before turning up to participate in next weekend’s French Grand Prix.

This week’s Autosport magazine is claiming that the Hinwil based squad were the subject of an FIA check at the USGP after Honda Racing threatened to protest in Canada, the Brackley based squad distributing photographic evidence, that failed to really prove anything, to all the team bosses.

While no action was taken at the time, the British publication states that the Hinwil based squad have been told to make modifications, such as stiffening sections of their rear wing, to ensure it doesn’t flex at Magny Cours.

When will this problem be resolved once and for all?
