But Mr. Vettel, hiring Kimi will make much more sense, as the Red Bull Racing PR team is always saying they want the best two possible driver to driver the Red Bull, and there is no preference of No.1 & No.2

Can't you just admit that you want him as your partner. :P

Hmmm, sounds like perhaps there is a power struggle once again within RBR?  If those words are coming from Vettel before a decision has actually been made, is it possible that they first came from Marko's mouth because he either doesn't like the decision that Horner has made or is leaning towards?

I kinda hope if Riciardo is moved into the other car, that he comes out with an Australian fighting attitude, more like Mark than perhaps the compliant No.2 driver that Seb is planning on.

You idea seems like a fairytale Scott where Mark Webber would have had a failure free season & actually showed how good he could have been if he was not dogged by poor start or failure of every possible component of the car.

The reality could not have been the farthest, isn't it?

Agreed.

Still, this is one of the few things that I can't criticise Vettel for, as lots of Formula 1 top drivers have done this sort of thing in the past.

Clark was OK with WDC Graham Hill as a teammate. Brabham and McLaren were OK with Hulme. There have been others who managed to peacefully co-exist.

Hulme even won the WDC driving for Black Jack.Even
Stewart was preparing Cevert to be his replacement
at Tyrell.

It's often pointed out that Vettel's role model is Schumacher. I think he's just trying to follow his mentor's lead. Ferrari was always Team Schumi, with whoever else as The Second Driver.

Dear Lonny, Do you thing any driver of this era, has the mindset of the drivers you mentioned.

Maybe Button or Webber. None of the drivers of that era became millionaires by winning the WDC. They drove because they loved it. If you asked Clark what he did, he said he was a farmer. Hill started as a mechanic. They were much more humble than this lot.

I think the drivers today started out loving racing and there are times during a race that brings back those feelings but the majority of the drivers are motivated by money. Either from the team or personal endorsements.
In the 60's or 70's there was not much financial encentive to drive but the drivers did it because they loved it and would race for other teams in different classes as a way to keep driving.
As to Vettels' comment.....he doesn't really want a strong contender as a team mate as that may show chinks in his RBR armor.

Those days have pretty much gone, sadly.

Vettel, as Cosworth pointed out, models himself on Schumacher.  They are best buddies off the track, and Michael went out of his way to assist Vettel last year, particularly in that disgracefully easy moving over for Vettel manoeuvre at the Brazilian Grand Prix, which wasn't even necessary.  Vettel thus wants a team mate who's fast enough to get points for the team, but not fast enough to challenge his number one status.  Just like Schumacher, he also seems to have a say in who his team mate will be, and, unsurprisingly, he's got who he wanted.
