I always like a bit of on board Nurburgring.  Especially F1.

It was fairly common for F2 cars to enter F1 races.  On occasions where there were major rule changes such as new engine sizes etc half the cars on the grid were F2 cars because there were never enough new engines available.

I've looked for and never found any footage
on the 68 Nurburgring in which Sir Jackie
ran away with in the rain

There's a vid of Jackie Stewart narrating a lap of the 'Ring in 1967. He says that the straight after the Little Carrousel was the first part of a lap where the driver could relax his grip on the wheel a little. He also says that the entry to Carrousel was blind. The only way to set up for it was to aim at the top of a very tall pine tree! He also said that he doesn't think that anyone ever drove the circuit "to the limit of the motorcar."

I heard someone commenting on a lap round the ring and at the Karrussell he said remember to aim for Jackie Stewart's pine tree.  I was never sure if Jackie had an accident with the tree or had used it as a marker.  I guess I know now.
