Title: Indian GP promoters step in to sponsor Chandhok

I guess that this secures Karun's seat for the rest of the season. :good: I smell Bernie's influence to keep the the Indian driver in F1, but whatever has brought the sponsorship to Hispania Karun deserves to stay.

Not sure if this has any bearing on Senna's red card this weekend, suggestions are surfacing that his loss of the seat this weekend is not money related.

Hispania Racing's Karun Chandhok has a new sponsor from this weekend's British Grand Prix, with the announcement that Indian Grand Prix organisers Jaypee Sports International (JPSI) has agreed a deal with India's only F1 driver. The deal will see JPSI's logo appear on the engine cover of Hispania's race car.

JPSI, a Jaypee Group company, is currently constructing a 5.14km long first world-class motor racing circuit near Greater Noida, at a distance of about 40km from New Delhi. This circuit is expected to host the inaugural F1 race in India in October/November 2011.
