I'm glad to see that they are staying with a closed car. The first thing I noticed was that it has sprouted a shark fin, too.

The shark fin is not a new concept, Kremer used it in '82.

Older than that, Lonny. We all remember the beautiful Jaguar D-Types of the mid-50's.
Here's one even older than the D-Jag (Even older than us, Lonny ;) ):
It's a 1906 Laurin & Klement type S-2. The fin was linked to the steering gear and was meant to act as a rudder. L & K was based in Prague and is a forerunner of Skoda. I took this picture in the museum at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
