Title: F1 chiefs to discuss driver penalty point system in Barcelona
Post by: John S on May 05, 2013, 10:13:29 AM
Footy style tot up & ban to replace grid drops coming soon?  :DntKnw:

This has been talked about before but it now seems to be gaining ground. Trouble is naughty boys can do quite a bit of damage before they get a race ban, particularly at starts, if the points total is set too high and they can't be sent to the back of the pack.  ::)

Also reference, in AFP news agency piece below, to drivers' frustrations over fines they thought where bought off in hiked super licence fees.
Could it be Jean and his crew need the cash since Bernie seems unwilling to open CVC's purse again?  :D

If it's copying anything from football, then I say no on principle.
