Odd ain't it, for once he beats Seb in Quali then.....oops. :D
Kimi says it's software glitch - team says it's him???????? :confused: - I know I am. ;)
Kimi's version:-
"It went into anti-stall when I let the first clutch go and as far as I understood, I did the correct thing but obviously we can see there was a problem in the second clutch in the way that it was not in the correct place," Raikkonen says. "I’m pretty sure I put everything correct as always but I don’t know exactly. Whatever it was, it triggered the anti-stall and obviously after a few seconds I was in last place.

However, Arrivabene says Ferrari's first impressions simply point to Raikkonen doing a poor job managing his getaway when the lights went out.
"If it’s a technical issue we will let you know, but at the moment it looked like he was struggling or messing a bit with the finger to follow the procedure,"

There is a very technical explanation. Not everyone will understand but I will try to explain the best that I can.
If you do not put the car into gear it will not move forward when you let out the clutch....... :P

The problem for me is that Kimi is known for being quick at the start. That makes me more inclined to blame the car. On a side note:

Which do I think is more likely to screw up, a world champion driver known for his fast starts, or an overly complex, Rube Goldberg gadget-mobile?

Kimi had blazing starts when he could rely on the pit lane to tell him which button to press and which knob to twist. Now the drivers aren't allowed that instruction, so they have to learn on their own. My guess is he missed a step.

I know the cars are complicated so it is possible that the car was indicating that it was in gear when it wasn't - but it is very unlikely. It is much more likely that Kimi screwed up! However, what a fantastic drive though the field. He never looked desperate or wild he just drove fantastically. Perhaps that is what F1 needs. After qualifying there should be a lottery for the top 6 cars and two of them get demoted to the back of the grid. Then we would see some overtaking ::)

Award points for qualifying, and then invert the grid.
Suddenly the top teams will favour rule changes that encourage passing!
