Title: Steve McQueen's Le Mans Driving Suit Auctioned
Post by: cosworth151 on November 23, 2015, 08:16:47 PM
Bonhams has hooked up with Turner Classic Movies to hold an auction of classic movies items. One of them is the iconic Gulf Porsche driving suit that Steve McQueen wore in the movie Le Mans. Expected price is US$ $200,000 - 300,000. That's £130,000 - 200,000 for those of you across the pond.

They also have such items as the Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane and Dorothy's dress from The Wizard of Oz. I wouldn't mind having Sam Spade's chair from The Maltese Falcon.

It's a sled?

Of course!

He regrets a life spent acquiring power and prestige yet is unable to recreate that moment of childhood happiness!

It all makes sense now!
