Good post, dare! A beautiful car. The cars looked so much better when before they became rolling billboards.
Of course, that DFV sitting in the back doesn't hurt, either. :good:

What a great car.
It's interesting how back then they thought they had the best aerodynamic package and through the years we have seen cars evolve into what they are today.
Bearing in mind all teams now have access to super computers and wind tunnels and we can all see the difference these have made in the cars we watch today. My question is, Do you think we will see any major difference in car designed in 10 years time? or do we have the ultimate F1 car design today? and the only thing left is minor aerodynamic changes.

In a very real sense, Computational Fluid Dynamics, the method used to simulate aero inthe supercomputers, is still in its infancy. Only now are the engineers starting to look at things like angular flow. (Airflow hitting the car at angles other than straight on) I think we may well see breakthroughs that will make major changes in the design of the cars.

Don't you just love those big old slicks, bring'um back I say and lets have some proper grip.

bring em back and take away the drivers aids, let
the driving decide the outcome

Great Video dare,The brand new cicuits they are designing now should cater for the slicks to come back in use.
They were only taken away to slow down the cars for safety reasons.I agree with you bring them back and lets go racing.I would not care if the skirts came back on track,it would deal with moving floor issues.
