Title: Alonso / Raikkonen swap seats
Post by: johnbull on November 04, 2008, 09:38:04 PM
I've just read this on an Italian website which stated that a deal was pretty well done between Flav and Ferrari which would see Alonso alongside Massa at Ferrari and Kimi at Renault next season.

Has anybody else heard it?

One of the comments that followed, and this from an Italian, was that such a deal would mean Lewis would win the W C again in 09 for the Ferrari drivers would be too busy taking each other out.

I'm laughing already at the thought of Alonso accepting orders from Domenicali to slow and let Massa through. And pigs might fly. :yahoo:

Massa and Alonso as team mates would never work weve seen how Alonso reacts when his team mate has a better season than him and that is a big possibility with Massa. If Kimi went to Renault i would see it as one last big pay day before he calls it a day.

This story has been doing the rounds for weeks.  We have discussed it on here before.  The story is fantasy.  Why would Kimi want to drive for Renault?  I can only assume the story was started by some deranged Alonso fans.  The only way they could make a 'viable' Alonso to Ferrari story was to find a way out for Kimi.  Since the story first appeared we have heard that Kimi has signed his contract extension.
