A couple of weeks ago one of Spyker F1's sponsors came up with an idea to invite former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen to have a go in Spyker's F1 car. Verstappen now admits that the plans are getting together to let him test the car. "I'd love to have a go in that car," Verstappen said.
Speaking in his personal column for Dutch newspaper Telegraaf he said: "The whole thing started as a spontaneous idea by Trust CEO Michel Perridon. He thought it would be great to let me test the Spyker F1 car. You wouldn't believe how many response that brought. So it's more than just a rumour, we are trying to work out the plan and see how we can make the plan work. I have to admit that I would love to test their Formula 1 car, but it would only make sense if every party involved would benefit from it.
"I truly believe that I can help Spyker with my many years of experience in Formula One but they would have to give me a serious chance to help them. That would mean at least two days, but even better three days, in the car. It would be useless to get in that car and drive only a couple of laps. It wouldn't help anyone."
