Hummer Sale Falls Through

GM has told its 153 U.S. Hummer dealers that the sale of the brand to China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co. Ltd. fell through. GM will now wind the brand down. It will continue to honor warranties and supply parts. This won't be a problem since the H2 and H3 models share most of their mechanical with Chevrolet pick-ups.

And presumably 'H1' vehicles still share parts with the HMMV which is still being manufactured.

It's a bit of a shame to see the Hummer brand vanish entirely.  All the other GM divisions that have closed were more of the same, but the H1 was a unique beast.
