Sterling Moss Injured in Fall
« on: March 08, 2010, 01:29:21 PM »
Sir Stirling Moss has broken both ankles, several foot bones and chipped four vertebrae. He fell three floors down an elevator (lift) shaft in his home.

Sir Stirling has undergone surgery on his ankles and is recovering well.

It seems a miracle that he survived such a fall. We all wish him a rapid recovery.

Ouch! That is not good.  :(

Sterling has always been a great hero to me, I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Ditto that Wiz, I really wish I had been into F1 in those days as well as two wheels.

Get well soon Stirling  :good: you don't deserve to be put out of action by a bloody lift. >:(

I would also have liked to have followed his career in F1 better, trouble is I was a tiny child at the start and only 12 when he stopped in 62, you can't have been much older Ian?

I remember listening to the Isle of Man TT races on the radio each year, from about age 8, strangely it was my Mum who loved that not my Dad who didn't get racing at all. I don't recall much coverage, if any, on radio of F1 at that time, except for reports on news broadcasts on the Home service from the BBC.

I was 14 John, but I was crazy about motor bikes even then.
