This does not look too good!!!!

Team-mate Bruno Senna did get on the track, although the uphill task Hispania face was laid bare by the fact his best lap was a massive 11.559 seconds slower than pacesetter Nico Rosberg.

That is a lifetime in Formula 1!!!!

Chris did you really expect HRT to just turn up in Bahrain with a car that had never turned a wheel and have it running at midfield pace by lunchtime. Both Virgin and Lotus had troubles during testing and still are trying to get up to speed. It's a long season so let's see how things pan out after 5 or 6 races.

Campos and USF1 should have had their entries examined again in early Jan, both had problems at that point and should have got the put up or give up treatment from the FIA, they are the real villains in this.

No of course not. But all I was trying to point out that 11.559 seconds seems like an Eternity in Formula 1....By no means am I slagging off Hrt. I sincerely hope that they are are up to pace ,sooner rather than later. :nono:

......and, as such, should they be ruled out from taking any further part in the BAHRAIN GP as used to happen under the "107%" rule?  :nono:

I do believe they are going to be quite dangerous during the race.  But it is a shame for Karun, he must have been looking forward to yesterday and to not get any track time is a real shame.

I didn't think they were given the boot until after qualifying under the 107% rule.

Glad to see that once he got some laps under his belt, his time wasn't completely embarassing.  Considering he was thrown in the deep end with a car he'd never driven... that NO ONE had ever driven, I think he performed downright heroically.

Based on what he pulled off today, I reckon he'll beat Senna over the season.  He really put a good show of himself across in his only running of the day.  I am impressed with his attitude.
