Minardi looks back on F1 debut 25 years ago
« on: April 09, 2010, 03:49:33 PM »

This month saw the 25th anniversary of Minardi's first F1 race in Brazil.  Kind of timely reminder, with all the new teams this year, about how difficult it is to join and stay on the grid with limited budgets. Don't suppose the Minardi boys, all ten of them, :swoon: got much sleep during that first weekend.

I'm still a Minardi fan.  :yahoo: It was a training ground for many great drivers.

I wonder if any of the new teams will last nearly as long as Minardi did. I'd almost bet at least one of them won't be around for Abu Dahbi.

You know, if they could find a way to cap the number of people on a team, you'd get budgets under control, and make things far more interesting.

I don't think you'll find many drivers qualifyed to
be mechanics, unless Black Jack wants to make
a return.

"No problem Herr Haug, Ralf's used to lugging heavy weights round DTM tracks and he's very experienced in making paper areoplanes as he's sat on the sidlines so often, I'm sure he's free"  ;) :DD :DD :DD :DD
