Manufacturers Given Voice
« on: January 08, 2007, 04:13:28 PM »
The FIA, F1's governing body, has confirmed the creation of a 'new motor sport commission' designed to give the manufacturers' competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship a means of communicating their views.

Set-up to try and give the manufacturers' a voice, it can be seen as an attempt to try and further heal the rift between the FIA and the manufacturers', which lead to threats, only recently laid to rest in the last six months or so, that Formula One might split into two series'.

The World Motor Sport Council has voted to establish a new motor sport Commission, the Formula One Manufacturers Advisory Commission, read a statement from the FIA

Senior employees or officers fom BMW,DaimlerChrysler,Ferrari,Honda,Renault and Toyota will be eligible for membership of the Commission and Professor Burhard Goeschel has been invited to become its Chairman

The FIA will be represented,as required,by FIA president Max Mosley.FIA technical delegate,Charlie Whiting,FIA technical consultants,Tony Purnell and Peter Wright.

The Stig
