Think you've seen some big yachts? Think again!
« on: May 03, 2010, 11:34:27 PM »
Roman Abramovich’s is awaiting the delivery of Eclipse, the largest private yacht in the world. But, the wait will soon be over with the Eclipse set to sail from Blohm and Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany.

The 557-foot Eclipse yacht will feature 2 helipads, 20 water jets, a pool with large Havana bars surrounding it, a cinema, library, restaurant, private garden, 5,000-square-feet master suite, a private submarine boarding from the bottom of the yacht for a secret escape and a missile-detection system to deflect pirate attacks safely. And, the Russian tycoon has also got an anti-paparazzi electronic “shield” installed to keep all the prying eyes away, which obviously was not functional when the megayacht left the port. The $350 million mega yacht was scheduled for delivery in 2010

Roman Abramovich is said to be furious after experiencing the technical flaws in the testing the ship which are grave enough for the buyer to live with.

For example, the vibrations from the diesel engine led to a smashed giant mirror on one of the ship’s nine decks. Abramovich also has some issues related to the animal fur upholstery on the chairs and the walls in massage room in a dispute with the shipyard on the ethics of the skins’ descent.

Problems... problems... ::)
