I don't want to see anybody get hurt, but think back to the days of Clark, Hill, Moss and even earlier, those guys were driving death machines and they never asked for split quali.

In fairness though Ian there was no sections to quali then so drivers could usually find some space during the hour for at least on clean lap, I'm not sure we have had such a large field at Monaco during the Q 1,2 & 3 era. I'm not in favour of changing quali just for this race but it could get messy in Q1.

Yup, fair comment John, it could get messy in Q1.

As expected the teams couldn't come to an agreement...Monaco Q remains the same.   :good: :good:

Yup, fair comment John, it could get messy in Q1.

One thing I've noticed this season:  messy = good, and orderly = dull
