German F1 circuit posts large loss
« on: January 09, 2007, 11:57:52 PM »
The owners of Germany’s Nurburgring race circuit, which will be the venue of the 2007 Formula One German Grand Prix, have posted a loss of almost $22 million loss for the period 2004-5, during which time it staged the F1 European Grand Prix.

The loss has principally been blamed on the high cost of hosting formula one races and falling spectator attendance figures. The circuit’s MD Walter Kafitz told the 'dpa' news agency, "For us this is nothing new. With the exception of formula one, we are in the black for all of our other activities."

it's a shame when the f1 races are the
ones losing money.Maylasia and China don't
  do well either
Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
