New Renault running at Silverstone
« on: January 10, 2007, 08:45:31 PM »
Following the unconfirmed shakedown of Toyota's 2007 car at Paul Ricard on Tuesday, it is understood that Renault is on Wednesday conducting a similar shakedown test for its 'R27'.

Reports in Europe indicate that the French squad, which is based at Enstone (England), is running the new single seater at the British grand prix circuit Silverstone.

Test driver Nelson Piquet Jr is apparently at the wheel of the car for the brief test session, before it makes its official track debut with an interim livery at Jerez next Tuesday.

A week later, the R27 will be launched in Amsterdam on January 24.

I bet it will be a closed shop though?

The Stig
