Renault have apologised to for failing to provide Fisichella with a competitive drive in Sunday's Formula One Grand Prix in Bahrain. Engine problems from qualifying were not rectified and he was forced to pull out of the race after 21 laps.
"
We have apologised to him for what happened yesterday," engineering head Pat Symonds told the team website. "
His performance was compromised. In fact he drove an excellent race, but he was halted by an hydraulic leak." During the race, Fisichella made his feelings known to the pit-lane team over the radio
, as defending champion and Renault team-mate Fernando Alonso went on to win the race.
Fisichella had more than his fair share of bad luck last year, lets just hope Renault can produce two reliable cars.
