Massa at Ferrari for Two More Years

AutoWeek is reporting that Massa has signed to stay at Ferrari through at least 2012.

So that means that Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and RBR are all locked up for next year.

Going to be a dull 'silly season' this year.  There will be a little scrambling for the Renault and FIF1 seats, though I should imagine that both Petrov and Kubica will have their choice of teams, probably one year contracts hoping for something to open up.

The only real wild card at this point would be if Kimi decides to come back into F1.  Would he 'settle' for Renault or FIF1?  Would a team consider putting him back into F1, and cutting a contracted driver loose?

But good for Massa.  His time at Ferrari has been tumultuous, he's earned another shot at the championship.  I'm happy for him.

Well if Kimi is really bored of finishing well down the board in Rallies he can always try for the new team the FIA wants on the grid next year. ;)

Good for Massa, I hope he can keep improving to really keep Alonso on his toes. :good:

Does that mean Fisi is gone?  Or is Ferrari still hoping for their 3rd car?  Surely it's not for a race seat.   :P   :P    :P  (Rasberry for David)

Don't worry about Fisi. He'll get a seat when Ferd makes his annual team swap.  :P

It's funny how a - or lack of one can make you feel a plonker.  :DD

Yes he resigned...

Resigned to the fact that the better teams aren't available for next year   :-*
