If even Michelin is the dark about just how the process for choosing a tyre supplier is taking place, who does know what the hell is going on?

Having said that though I think the possible sidelining of Michelin by most of the teams may have caused the FIA to try to make sure the process cannot be challenged by any supplier or team who feel they have lost out. So Michelin's call for speedy action may be in the nature of mischief making.
