Does anyone suspect that Webber might find himself "Kimi-ed", and end up under contract, but without a race car?

There's plenty of young talent available to Red Bull if they really want to stick it to Webber.

I'd hate to see this happen, but I can't help but see it as a possible conclusion of the hijinks at RBR - especially if they end the season with zero championships.

Like you Jeri I hope it doesn't happen. However if it does there is a big difference, Mark won't want mega bucks to drive for someone else so teams like Sauber can form a queue for him.  :yahoo:

I hope Webber has a clause that says if Red Bull doesn't provide him with a car he can go elsewhere, otherwise he may end up an underused "test driver". If he can move, I'm sure many teams would like a proven winner.

RBR is interesting because it is privately owned and one of the owners is also the major sponsor. This does make them a lot like Ferrari, so being 'Kimi-ed' due to the whim of the owner is possible.
However, although they have done some really stupid things, I can't believe the 'team' would take steps to further reduce their chances of winning one or both of the 2010 championships. Therefore, helping both Mark and Seb get the best points finishes will be the sensible thing to do.
However, next year is a different matter. I wonder if they have it in their power to move Mark to Torro Rosso without breaking terms of contracts?
This would be the worst of all worlds for Webber!

Sensible isn't how they've played this season so far...all that backing and Newey in the design office and they have only fuelled the driver politics themselves and caused stupid mistakes...we'll see if they do the sensible thing finally and support both drivers equally.

Now that it seems my team have forgot how to win a race these last couple of years, I'm following Webber in the hope he shows what he's made of.

Come on Webber!!  :yahoo:
