Ferrari has finally explained the appearance of the words 'Mubadala Abu Dhabi' on the caps of 2007 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa at a press event this week in the Italian alps.
It was already known that the company, owned by the Arab government of Abu Dhabi, bought a five per cent stake in the Maranello based marque for $138m in 2005.
Some specialist media at Madonna di Campiglio speculated that Raikkonen had penned a Michael Schumacher-style personal endorsement deal for his cap space, but Massa wore an identical cap while addressing the press in a news conference.
In a statement on Thursday, Ferrari's motor sport press office revealed that a "sponsorship agreement" with the investment company had been reached.
In addition to the official drivers' caps signage, Ferrari said the three year deal will see the Mubadala logo feature on Ferrari's single seater for 2007, set to be launched on Sunday.
Abu Dhababi..(Epedemic?)
It is everywhere in F1 ?
There are still a few teams who have not yet caught it,maybe they should? It could mean loads of cash?
