It has been recently reported, by the Spanish media, that the new Vodafone static adverts placed in the streets of Valencia for the Mclaren's new car presentation have been 'sabotaged'.
The adverts itself consisted of a dummy in a parachute covering the photo of the new MP4-22 racer. To see a similar advert check this link:
http://www.vodafonesites.com/vodafonemclarenmercedes/ The adverts sabotaged lost their dummy, but it seems that the parachute could not be removed, so the secret is still kept. And a question arises...who did this?
Was it Briatore jealous because he had lost his golden Spanish boy in favour of his less-than-liked Ron Dennis?
Or perhaps Super Mario Theissen was angry at his arch-rival Mercedes because they had planned their presentation for the day before and in a more spectacular way?
Or maybe Telefonica after loosing to immediate competitors Vodafone the possibility of having Alonso for ads?
Or Ferrari for loosing Vodafone, hence now they are obliged by the tifosis to substitute their traditional red for the colours of the Italian flag?
The less probable of all is that some Alonso's tifosis lost their patience after a long off-season.
Despite all of these possibilities police do not discard others, as new clues indicate that FIA recently decided to ban parachutes and other similar technologies from F1, in order to cut costs... making it like 'The Flintstones' car racing.
Probably they will need the help of Interpol and Bernie Ecclestone to solve this enigma.
*I hope you had fun reading this, and remember that the only true fact we know is that the Vodafone street adverts were sabotaged... or maybe more is true, who knows?
Keep guessing who is responsible for it!
I thought it was a good advertising ploy!
